Millionaire in the Making! Myths & Mysticisms!

Unless you were born in the Stone Age of no TV or media, you had the dream of
being a millionaire or at least financially wealthy at one time or another
growing up. The really sad part is that as you grew you probably became jaded
and was told over and over it's not going to happen for average people like you.
Am I right?
There are a lot of myths and misguided mystic beliefs about wealthy people
out there that you probably have bought into and to your detriment I must say!
My fathers favorite saying is, Money is the root of all evil. His
reason for not succeeding. Yes money used wrong can be evil but you will find
the largest charitable donors listed in the Whos Who column of givers.
(Fictitious name) Having money gives you the option of doing whatever you want
and usually that means giving back to the world in thanksgiving for having that
wealth.
I have read and heard these very myths over and over and yes I even bought
into them in my earlier life but age has given me a new insight into my life and
lives of others who have been cheated with the following myths and mysticisms.
1: The wealthy of the world work 10 times as hard as the ordinary man in the
street.
Yes that is sometimes true in the beginning of their striving for that gold
ring on their merry-go-round of business world and a few by choice. But it soon
became clear to me that it was not true and each millionaire has found his path
and stuck with it. Yes, stick-to-it-ive-ness is the secret here!
2: Millionaires are more intelligent and better educated than you and I. Did
you know that the majority of millionaires do not have a college education? They
have been educated in life by the world and their desires and dreams. Yes,
getting and education will put you one step up the rung to finding your goals
only because the average person has no idea what or where they want to go in
life until their thirties or forties. But most of the millionaires found their
own niche or dream and went for it and gained their education as they went. In
so doing they chose mentors to follow and help them along their path then stuck
with their goals and succeeded. Something anyone can do.
3: Honest people don't get rich. Yes there are scoundrels in every step of
life but you will find that in every class of human beings. The very elite of
the multi-millionaires did not get there with dishonesty. Most are brutally
honest to the point of scaring and putting off the faint of heart. Life dictates
that honesty is the best policy and if you think you need dishonesty to get
where you want to go I say, "Throw in Your Towel Now!" Dishonesty will
lead to your failure!
4: You need money to make money. Not so! Most millionaires and billionaires
have had to beg, borrow and sometimes hit rock bottom to get where they are.
Many have filed bankruptcy and gone broke but never let that deter them from
success. They got up brushed themselves off and went on to make more than
before with the lessons learned. Yes money is going to be a necessity to start
your climb to the top and you may have to put your ego and pride to bed in that
department. You are going to need humility to find that capitalist that will
help you succeed or you can grovel to your family and get some backing.
Financial backing was never been easier for them than for you. Millionaires just
learned how to use money instead of money using them!
5: Millionaires knew exactly what business they were going into as a child.
Wrong again. Most came to realizations while doing other things and found a
niche that they could fit into and then put their all into it. Keeping their
eyes open to opportunities and not being afraid to tackle the dream and goal
under adversity, the key there!
6: Millionaires are already made and all the ideas have been taken. Wrong
again! Technology is just beginning and the probability of new and innovative
things popping into your life is extremely strong today. All the Internet made
millionaires is proof there!
7: I'm too old to change now. How sad that you would believe that age has
anything to do with it. Age just means youve gone through the growing pains
and gained knowledge you dont know you even have. Search for it and get busy
here. If this 63 year-old great grandmother can change life at this stage so can
you. You are never too old to do what ever your heart desires.
Now how to get where you want to go? Here are some tips I learned along the
way that maybe you can apply to your life.
Never give yourself an excuse to fail, close any existing exit so that you
can never turn back and have no other alternative but succeed. That may mean
listening to family and friends belittle you and your dream or staying away from
them. Close your eyes and go for it anyway!
I know a millionaire gal who lived in her car for six months while she worked
at her dream of wealth and put all her money into her business. Showering and
changing clothes in public bathrooms or going into gyms. Eating one meal a day
and absolutely no one knew it until after the fact. She stretched her dream to
the limits. She now is a multi-millionaire and has huge homes on both coasts a
short five years later with the Jaguar in the garage and a boat in the Marina.
How badly do you want security?
Acquire the mentality of a millionaire or wealth as it is seen by the world!
Most people dont believe there are secrets to wealth they believe wealthy
people are just lucky. As a very wise person once said, You are who you think
you are. Believe that you can and crave it passionately and with ever fiber
of your being. But look around you for every opportunity that stops on your
door. Dont pass too many of them up or one may not bother showing up again.
Dr. William James, of Harvard, often called the Father of American
Psychology, says that if you are going to make a change in your life, you should
"do it immediately and flamboyantly"! So flamboyantly is the operative
word here! Use your imagination and start to think and act successfully. No, do
not go out and go into big debt. Debt has never been the answer. Build assets
not things!
BELIEF is one KEY to gaining faith in you.
Goals. Write down the amount of money you want and when you want it. In order
to achieve monetary wealth, you need an amount and a deadline to aim for.
Remember - A goal without a deadline is no goal at all! This is the mysticism of
a wealthy person. This very thought will work on the sub-conscious mind. Why do
this? If you dont know where youre heading, there is a slim to no chance
youll ever get there. Write it down and look at it daily. Work at it every
day!
ATTITUDE is another KEY:
Developing the right attitude is the key to believing you can be somebody.
Then look for opportunities in every step of your life! They are in front of you
if you look for them!
Believing is definitely a step that cannot be skipped. The only way of
obtaining that belief is to get outside your comfort area
If you stay within
your own comfort zone forget ever getting into the world of the rich and
wealthy! This is probably one of the hardest steps in success. People are so
engulfed in their own world of comfort that the very thought of getting outside
of it does them in. Kill those habits that create your comfort zone. Read the
little book by Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich. Then put it into
action.
Without belief and faith in that belief along with your goal the mysticism
has been erased and given time and hard work you will be there! Give up negative
thoughts that creep into you mind! Dwell only on positives. Yes there will be
hard work and there will be things to try and cause you to go into the negative
thoughts but kill them!
There is no mysticism in the world of the wealthy, only faith, goals,
positive thinking and learning to get outside your comfort zone. If you find
yourself comfortable your doing something wrong. Stretch as far as you can
stretch outside yourself. Remember the gal who lived in her car to use her money
to get wealthy!
The myths perpetrated by the poor and lazy is just that, myths. The wealthy
have learned how to work smart and not hard but it didnt start out that way
and neither will you. Hard comes first and then easy!
