Whose Drugs Are You Taking? Everybody's Is The Correct Answer!

What if you don't need heart medication and you are getting it anyway? How about blood pressure medication? Maybe birth control? Prozac? Think about the consequences!

If you have an ongoing illness and you are drinking or bathing in unfiltered tap water, that could be your problem! Side effect from medications, especially when not prescribed can be a death sentence!

If you are drinking or bathing in tap water you are more than likely getting prescriptions given someone else and you won't ever know it! The pharmacist isn't messing up nor your doctor, read on and see what prescriptions you are really taking!

A 2000 U.S. government analysis showed the nations waterways are awash in chemicals used in beauty aids, medications, cleaners, and foods. Among the substances found were caffeine, contraceptives, painkillers, insect repellent, perfumes, and nicotine. How much? All they know for sure it's unacceptable levels! 2005 found it increasingly worse with no relief in sight for our waterways? Wells all over the U.S.A. is polluted with them as they have gotten into our aquifers and underground water tables!

Scientists say the problem is that these substances largely escape regulation and defy municipal wastewater treatment facilities. All the long-term effects of exposure are still unclear and there are not many studies being done to find out. The few studies that have been published are not good news!

Compounds of all kinds, and more being added daily, are sold on supermarket shelves and found in virtually every medicine cabinet and broom closet as well as at farms and factories. And they are flushed or rinsed down the drain every day. "But," researchers warn, "They do not disappear or break up,

Having worked in medical offices for twenty plus years I can attest that tons of medications go down the drain... We were taught to flush outdated medications down the toilet. We all assume our government local, federal and state will have something to clean our water. Boy what ostriches we are, sticking our heads in the sand! I can only regret my actions of contributing to the problem and now know that was not smart and I pass that on to every office I come in contact with. New laws in the early '90's were supposed to take care of that but habit still rules in a huge number of offices. Not a pretty thought!

This is the first generation to be raised with such horrendous chemical dangers and we still do not know the whole affect that is being put upon us. My grandmother always said, "Better to be safe than sorry." I thought she was just old but you know she was smarter than I gave her credit for. Now it's my turn to pass on the wisdom gained by age. But at least I have lived to age because my childhood was free of the poisons that my children and grandchildren have been and are subjected to daily!

Are you and everyone in your family going to be so lucky? Not unless you watch what goes into and on your body!

Just because government says it's good for us doesn't make it so!

A study, from the Journal of Brain Research Vol. 784, 1998, indicates that low levels of fluoride in the drinking water of animals - equal to the amount of fluoride found in fluorinated water systems- causes damage to brain tissue, similar to the pathological changes found in humans with Alzheimer's and other severe forms of dementia.

Do you know what is coming out of your tap and shower? Do you care?

You should answer yes to both of those questions but I am totally aware that some of you have the idea "Well I'm going to die of something anyway!" How about dying of "old Age" wouldn't that be better? Why hurry to die younger? Because it's easy to do nothing and let others make your decisions. Dying younger than necessary is a sad commentary for the laziness of our world!

August 10, 2004 a report out of London England stated; "Prozac found in drinking water." So world wide is being bombarded by some one else's' mind altering drugs in your water!

Other chemicals routinely added to our water coming out of your tap, supposedly for your health benefit. Fluoride and chlorine to kill bacteria. So even if everyone stops using chemical household cleaners, medical offices stop flushing medications you are still getting lethal chemicals! Read the Fluoride Link

On May 26, 2003 the E.P.A. released another report saying that our water systems are antiquated and tracking water pollution is impossible, and there is no money to fix the problem even if they had the technology to do it, which is doubtful at best! They went on to say that our water protection systems are decades old and not working very well.

Also the prescription or OTC drug you ingest goes into your toilet, small amounts but when added to the billions of others it's not such a small amount. Our FDA has stuck their heads in the sand as they have no solution therefore pass it off as negligible to our health in order to not create panic to the public...

A simple answer would be to provide in home filtration/purification systems but that isn't going to happen so it's up to you to take those precautions? It must include both shower and tap purification/filtration!

Be an activist in your life and the lives of your family and friends.

Don't panic but be careful with your health, when it's gone you have nothing left. Take care of your body and your body will take care of you for the long years ahead! Filtration should be a prime concern in every household!

NOTE: Water softeners do not filter out anything they only mask the chemicals; it just makes for feeling good and a lot of suds when you lather your soap on. It even masks the water taste, as good! This I learned, first hand, by testing water from untreated tap water and water with a softener attached and they tested out to be the same in chemical content. Studies Line Up on Parkinson's-Pesticides Link

WASHINGTON - Evidence that pesticides can cause Parkinson's disease is stronger than it has ever been after a meeting of experts who have put together links in animals and people, scientists say.

One study shows that farm workers who used the common weedkiller paraquat had two to three times the normal risk of Parkinson's, a degenerative brain disease that eventually paralyzes patients.

A second study shows that animals exposed to paraquat have a build-up of a protein called alpha-synuclein in their brains. This protein has been linked to Parkinson's in the past.

A third piece of the puzzle shows that this buildup of protein kills the same brain cells affected in Parkinson's.

"All of these pieces really look like they are coming together now," Dr. William Langston, founder of the non-profit Parkinson's Institute, told Reuters.

Langston and colleagues said they were energized by research presented at the Parkinson's Disease Environmental Research meeting in Monterey, California, earlier this month.

Parkinson's disease, which affects more than 1 million patients in the United States, is marked by the death of brain cells that produce dopamine.

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter, or message-carrying chemical, associated with movement. Drugs can delay symptoms for a while but there is no good treatment and no cure.

Farm workers are at especially high risk but links to pesticides have been difficult to document because years usually pass between a person's exposure to pesticides and the development of the disease.

Dr. Beate Ritz of the University of California at Los Angeles and Dr. Caroline Tanner of the Parkinson's Institute looked at 80,000 people in Iowa and North Carolina and found farm workers exposed to paraquat had twice the expected risk of Parkinson's over their lifetimes.

Exposure to another pesticide called dieldrin also raised the risk, the study, funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, found.

A second study found similar effects in farm workers in central California.

BETTER DOCUMENTATION

What made the studies especially important was that pesticide exposure could be carefully documented through records of pesticide purchase, Langston said. Details will be published in a scientific journal later.

Dr. Donato Di Monte of the Parkinson's Institute gave paraquat to laboratory animals and found it caused a buildup of alpha-synuclein in the brain that killed the same neurons affected by people with Parkinson's disease.

"This increase in alpha-synuclein in the brain could be the missing link between the exposure to this agent and how this agent causes the disease," Di Monte said in a telephone interview.

"Maybe being exposed to paraquat may not be enough to cause the disease but increases the probability the disease may develop," Di Monte said.

Langston and Di Monte said inflammation also could be a factor.

"Give an animal a compound that creates a marked inflammation response in the body ... and months later the animal loses cells in same area of the brain that is associated with Parkinson's," Langston said.

"This suggests that systemic inflammation may somehow sensitize the brain."

Multiple concussions, which can cause inflammation in the brain, raise the risk of Parkinson's, Langston said.

Two other groups of people that have a higher-than-average risk of Parkinson's are health workers and teachers.

"At first glance that doesn't make sense," Langston said.

But both do have something in common -- frequent exposure to viruses.

It could be, Langston and Di Monte said, that if a person is exposed to a pesticide while his or her brain has inflammation, this greatly raises the risk of Parkinson's many years later.

Your Body's Filtration System Is Failing!

Modern medicine seems to have forgotten the basics of total health. So many health disorders are the result of one or more Internal organs failure to work to their capacity because they are clogged, obstructed and/or polluted.

How did this occur?

Whatever you put ON your body is absorbed into the blood stream and filtered through the liver when possible.

The liver serves as the body's filter and major detoxifier, yet is clogged by all the pollutants introduced by you through your daily diet, body care, water and air pollutants. A clogged liver is simply unable to detoxify chemicals properly as they did not exist when man was created.

With the major filtration system of your body clogged your other organs begin to absorb the poisons and go into failure creating all kinds of illnesses. Liver's main function is to make bile and deliver the bile to the many bile ducts in the liver. For most people those ducts are choked with stones and sticky toxins from the ingested, inhale and absorbed pollutants. As stones become more numerous, the liver makes less bile.

The polluted body can work on less than 100% without noticing the impending illness for a long time, but eventually it will happen!

The traditional medical profession seems unable to give good advice on how to prevent this but there is such a simple prevention that the majority, 99%, have not been taught yet is extremely simple and effective.

US Exporters Fear GMO Corn Seed Will Hurt Sales

CHICAGO - US farmers are planting a genetically modified corn seed that has not yet been approved overseas, and exporters said on Tuesday they were concerned that any accidental commingling with regular supplies could hurt corn exports that were worth US$4.8 billion last year.

Swiss-based Syngenta AG is selling seed that contains a trait called Agrisure RW that allows corn to resist root worm, an insect that can cause crop losses.

The US Agriculture Department has approved the seed as safe for use as food and animal feed.

Syngenta has required farmers to sign an agreement that they will only deliver the corn to non-export facilities. Syngenta introduced Agrisure RW for the first time this year and released a small amount but could not specify how much.

Monsanto Co. also sells biotech corn that resists corn root worm, but its variety has been approved for use in Japan and other countries, the company said.

Grain exporters have tried to segregate various GMO varieties in the past but have found it impossible due to the wind carrying pollen and accidental commingling, said Kevin Adams, chief executive of CGB Enterprises, a grain handler and exporter.

"We've seen that approach several times over and we have witnessed its dismal failure," he said. "We think it is irresponsible of Syngenta to release this trait."

CGB has informed farmers it may not accept Agrisure RW corn when they harvest their crops this fall. Bunge Ltd., another large exporter, sent a letter to farmers last week about the biotech corn seed.

"All Bunge's facilities are integrated into the export channel so we will not be receiving Agrisure RW corn," said Bunge spokeswoman Deborah Seidel.

Grain traders said they expect all companies to eventually refuse Agrisure RW corn, although grain elevators lack a way to immediately test for its presence.

"Japanese buyers are comparing it with StarLink and Bt10," said a grain trader. "This could be a disaster."

Syngenta came under fire in 2005 for accidentally mixing some insect-resistant, genetically modified Bt10 -- which has not been approved by the European Union for import -- into its approved Bt11 biotech seeds between 2001 and 2004.

In 2000, a biotech corn called StarLink, approved for use only as animal feed, was found in the US human food chain, sparking a nationwide recall of taco shells and corn-products foods from grocery shelves.

The detection led several countries, including top buyer Japan, to ban temporarily imports of US corn.

GMO CORN NEEDED TO MEET DEMAND

Syngenta sold the Agrisure RW seed to farmers to help them boost yields to meet the strong demand from the makers of ethanol and livestock feed.

"The American corn grower needs access to the very latest science has to offer, such as Agrisure RW," said Syngenta spokeswoman Anne Burt. "We respect that other countries should have the right to choose their own regulatory requirements, systems and timelines for approvals.

"However, their choices should not dictate the technology choices the American farmer has for producing ample grain to supply the expanding US domestic market," she said.

Syngenta has started the process of gaining approval from Japan, but exporters fear the approval may not come before the crop is harvested this fall. Japan allows several varieties of US GMO corn to be fed to livestock.

US farmers are expected to plant the most acres of corn this spring since 1944, which has boosted earnings at seed companies such as Syngenta and Monsanto and helped both stocks climb more than 30 percent in the last year.

DuPont Co., the No. 2 US chemical company, said on Tuesday that first-quarter profit rose 16 percent, helped by strong seed sales. (Additional reporting by Carey Gillam in Kansas City)
