Greetings and thank you for subscribing! I told you I would fill you in on the emergency that took me and held up everything in my life.. So I shall! My 43 year-old daughter was told she has thyroid cancer and possibly uterine cancer so we went to be with her in California while the doctors ponder over the situation and she made decisions as to what to do about this. From the looks of all the tests and films done it is cancer of the thyroid and uterus but they will not do anything until it is 100% verified and they could not get to her biopsy until the 23rd as they are so busy Surgery will most likely follow that within the week. Does that tell you that cancer is rampant when they can't do a simple biopsy for two weeks? I remember when it was done within 24 to 48 hours of suspect test results... Of course I have already started her on Dr. Garland's cancer protocol and she will not undergo chemotherapy or radiation. It doesn't make sense to undergo a treatment that has a 42% chance of success, while making a person so ill they would rather be dead anyway when she can be treated with a protocol that has a better than 80% chance of success and gives you quality of life at the same time it kills the cancer... Now, this is the daughter that has eaten badly since her teen years, in spite of me bugging her about it, refused to take minerals and vitamins since leaving home at the age of 19 and fainted dead away when I gave her injections in the past. How things change, she is having an injection every other day and administering it to herself. I was sure that this whole protocol would be a problem with getting her to comply, but she's sticking to her cleansing/detoxing diet faithfully and taking all her minerals and supplements without fail, shocking me to no end. Kids, they will fool you every time no matter the age...

A Very Important Study Completed on Ear Infections proves 81% of ear infections can be cured without antibiotics!

Toss those antibiotics that your kids have been swallowing for ear infections in favor of a safer treatment. A study in the June 1 issue of the Journal of Infectious Diseases reports that all-natural essential oils may be just as effective.

This study compared the effects of essential oils to those of placebo in rats. The investigators found that the oils cured up to 81 percent of the animals, while the cure rate for the animals given a placebo was less than 6 percent.

These sweet juicy yellow, green and sometimes a musty brown fruit with a rounded shape that becomes narrower towards the stalk and has kind of a grainy texture that turns some people off. Pears offer a healthy snack as well as a healthy ingredient in many recipes.  Full of natural nutritious fiber!
 
Pear History is interesting in that pears date back to the early Asian history!
 
Pears are one of the world's oldest cultivated and beloved fruits. In 5,000 B.C., Feng Li, a Chinese diplomat became consumed by grafting peaches, almonds, persimmons, pears and apples as a commercial venture. In The Odyssey, the Greek poet laureate Homer lauds pears as a "gift of the gods." Pomona, goddess of fruit, was a cherished member of the Roman Pantheon and Roman farmers documented extensive pear growing and grafting techniques. Thanks to their versatility and long storage life, pears were a valuable and much-desired commodity among the trading routes of the ancient world. Evident in the works of Renaissance Masters, pears have long been an elegant still-life muse for artists. In the 17th century a great flourishing of modern pear variety cultivation began taking place in Europe. And in popular culture, the pear tree was immortalized alongside a partridge in the 18th-century Christmas carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas.
 
Early colonists brought the first pear trees to America's eastern settlements where they thrived until crop blights proved too severe to sustain widespread cultivation. Fortunately, the pear trees brought west to Oregon and Washington by pioneers in the 1800's thrived in the unique agricultural conditions found in the Pacific Northwest. Today's Northwest pear varieties are the same or similar to those first cultivated in France and Belgium where they were prized for their delicate flavor, buttery texture, and long storage life.
 
Pears are picked when they are almost ripe. The fruit will come off if you lift the fruit vertically, signally time to pick. Pears ripen best at room temperature. If you want too keep them a few days you have to keep them in a dark cool place. There's no need to peel a pear... their tender, edible skin is an additional and nutritional source of fiber. A medium sized pear provides 4 grams of fiber, or 16% of the recommended daily value. Always wash all fresh fruits and vegetables before serving.
 
More levulose - the sweetest of known natural sugars - is found in fresh pears than any other fruit, which doesn't really sound like it's good for dieting. Well, levulose is easily digested and plays a role in energizing the metabolism thereby helping to bring about weight loss. The pear is rich in the minerals; Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium - 30% more than an apple - , Sodium, Zinc, Copper, Manganese and Selenium Not short changed in the vitamin department either containing; Vitamin C, B-6, B-12, A, E, Rhiamin,  Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic acid, Folate and Folic acid.  
 
There are many varieties of pears to choose from and should hit just about any desire!
 
*Yellow Bartlett (Bart-let) U.S. Availablity in August through January ripens to bright yellow, perfect for fresh eating. Very sweet and juicy. Excellent for canning or cooking. 
 
*Red Bartlett (Bart-let) Availablity in August through January Bright red skin when fully ripe. Same flavor, texture and use as yellow Bartletts.
 
* Green Anjou (On-ju) Availablity in October through June. Abundant juice and sweet flavor when ripe. They do not change color as they ripen.
 
* Red Anjou (On-ju) Availablity in October through May. Much the same flavor and texture as green Anjous. Remains maroon red when ripe.
 
* Bosc (Bahsk) Availablity in August through April. Highly aromatic flavorful pear. Dense flesh makes it ideal for baking and cooking. They are brown and often russeted. They do not change color as they ripen. 
 
* Comice (Co-meece) Availablity in August through February. One of the sweetest, juiciest varieties, and often are very large. An elegant dessert pear that's excellent with cheese. Almost no color change when ripe. 
 
* Seckel (Seck?l) Availablity in August through February. Tiny pears with ultra-sweet flavor, maroon and olive green in color. Excellent choice for children's snacks, pickling, or as a garnish. No color change when ripened.
 
* Forelle (For-ell) Availablity in September through February. A smaller variety. Turns bright yellow with crimson freckling when ripe. Sweet, very juicy.
 
Our favorite way of eating pears is fresh and raw but poached pears are excellent as well and here is a relish recipe that is very tasty and nourishing adapted taken from http://www.hugs.org 
 
Pear Relish
 
Great on toast, English muffins or as a relish for meats.
 
      8  quarts of Pears
      6  Onions
      3  Red bell peppers
      3  Green bell peppers
      5  cups apple cider Vinegar
      2  teaspoons Sea Salt
      1  teaspoon Pickling spices
      1  teaspoon Turmeric
      3  cup  Sugar [Healthier made with Stevia: 8 Tablespoons. whole Stevia leaf powder  or ¼cup white Stevia extract (powder)]
 
Grind vegetables. Combine with remaining ingredients; bring to a boil and boil until thickened, about 30 minutes. Seal in pint jars. Makes about 8 pints.

Balance Is Imperative To Your Health!

The statement, "We are a nation of impending BIG BELLIES," made 69 years ago has happened and it should now state "We are a nation of big bellies."

Some very smart people made the warning but nobody listened and still aren't!

"It is bad news to learn from our leading authorities that 99 percent of the American people are deficient in minerals, and that a marked deficiency in any one of the more important minerals actually results in DISEASE. Any upset of the balance, any considerable lack of one or another element, however microscopic the body requirement may be, and we sicken, suffer, shorten our lives".

They go on to say "...each mineral element playing a definite role in nutrition. A characteristic set of symptoms, just as specific as any vitamin deficiency disease, follows a deficiency in any one of them. It is alarming, therefore, to face the fact that we are starving for these precious health-giving substances."

"Our soils which are seriously deficient in trace minerals, cannot produce plant life competent to maintain our needs, and with the continuous cropping and shipping away of those trace minerals and concentrates, the condition becomes worse. We are a nation of impending fat bellies!"

These statements were made in 1936 by the United States Congress, following a study of our food nutrient values, and reported in the Readers Digest that year. Those facts have only worsened with the years of land abuses, chemicals and pesticides introduced into our foods by the farmers and the fat bellies are now bouncing on every street in this world. Obesity is of epidemic proportions!!!

My stubborn daughter who wouldn't believe in supplementing her mineral content is now fighting for her life because of it. Do you want to join her? I hope not!

When my four children were born in the late 50's and early 60's the pediatrician recommended giving them vitamins but not once did he tell me that minerals were required in order to absorb the vitamins. In the years I worked in doctor's offices I did not once hear a doctor tell a patient how important it was to have sufficient minerals in order to absorb those vitamins.

Not until I read the Senate report in 1995 did I know that minerals are the catalyst to a healthy body and without them disease and obesity will rule.

Then as I studied more into that premise I found that a requirement for ALL minerals to be equally important. I see minerals sold all over the place with 24 or 36 minerals but not the whole 84 minerals and trace minerals our body was created with and need for 84 minerals and trace mineral in order to function as a whole.

Without a proper balance our bodies crave all kinds of unhealthy foods and empty calories hence creating the obesity now rampant in the world. This is not helped by all the fast food places that now exist putting out dead empty foods.

Once the body contains the proper mineral balance and megavitamin balance only then can weight loss and a healthy body begin. For optimum health it also requires eating a balance of fruits, nuts and vegetables daily. That's 9 servings daily in all. (a serving = ? to 1 cup per food group)

Vitamins sold on store shelves are seriously lacking in proper amounts just as minerals are. Studies done over the last decade show that the RDA's you see on vitamin bottles and in advertisements are so weak that the body is still malnourished and requires at least three times the amount recommended, and in some as much as ten times the amount. One-a-day just won't balance it for you!

I have watched as people began to lose weight once they balanced their body with minerals, meganutrient vitamins and antioxidants. I have seen cancer disappear with natural treatment and balancing those three things in the body. With proper balance I have seen manic depression subside, allergies become nonexistant, asthma disappear and diabetes eliminated, just to name a few... Balance is the key and this is what my daughter is finally working toward.
