 The
Genesis G400 Whole Home Water Filter System filters all the water
entering your home, delivering clean, clear, good tasting water to your
kitchen, bathroom, showers, laundry and ice maker.
The G400 removes or reduces well below EPA standards contaminants such
as lead, chlorine, mercury, lindane, TCE, herbicides, pesticides and
many volatile organic compounds (VOC).
The optional Ultraviolet Microbiological Reduction Filter destroys a
wide range of viruses, bacteria and cysts, protecting you and your
family from potential sickness due to unclean drinking water.
How Does It Work?
The G400unit is designed for a useful life of 400,000 gallons,
approximately 4-5 years for a household of 2-4 people with 1-2
bathrooms, with a maximum flow rate of 8 gallons per minute.
Stage 1 Sediment Filter - The
replaceable 5-micron cartridge filter prevents sediment from
entering the media bed inside the large tank, keeping the water clear
and extending the life of the media.
Stage 2 Copper-Zinc Redox -
reduces chlorine and controls bacteria growth within the carbon bed.
Stage 3 ATC - a patented ceramic
impregnated coconut shell media that reduces heavy metals, such as Lead
and Mercury, through cation exchange.
Stage 4 High Grade Activated Coconut
Shell Carbon - a 12x40 mesh carbon based media designed to reduce
small molecular weight chemical contaminants like MTBE's, a common
additive to gasoline to lower emissions. This unique media has an
enhanced micro-pore structure that absorbs twice the amount of
contaminants as other carbons.
Stage 5 Granular Catalic Carbon Media
- a 12x40 mesh carbon based media to reduce volatile organic compounds
(VOC).
Optional Stage 6 UV Filter -
Ultraviolet Microbiological Reduction Filter uses a specific wavelength
of ultraviolet light to kill a broad range of viruses, bacteria and
cysts.
Shipped ready-to-install with fittings for standard 3/4" plumbing.
Installation Kit includes:
- Sediment pre-filter housing, cartridge and integrated shut-off valve
- Prefilter housing wrench
- Flexible connection hose
- 3/4" PVC connectors
Installation by professional plumber is not required.
