My computer continues to be occupied with little gremlins so I will be taking it back in to my computer geek and see if changing software will make a difference... I think my Windows 98SE has gotten so corrupted that I only get grief from it so I am forced to go the XP route, which requires all new other programs. Beginning Tips To Assure Your Business Success!

PREPARATION
Preparation is imperative to a business that is going to make it online and lasting!
In order to have a professional & personal business here are beginning steps to follow that will make it possible for your business and you to be taken seriously?
Preparation for business means knowing what you want in your business and setting up goals and having them written down in front of you to look at every single morning and evening. Be specific! Know how much money you want to generate or how many products/services you want to sell by a specific date! Giving people the option of how they contact you. That includes your business name, address, phone number and email on every page of your site. Appear professional!
You must have a site that will attract attention. If your website reads

chances are you will not be taken seriously.
I know, Been there, Done that, and failed in the beginning.
That type of URL is usually not thought of as a professional website of a person who is going to be in business next month and/or is not confident enough in your ability enough to have your very own domain name.
I made the mistake beginning with an Internet Mall and paying out thousands of dollars and not too many people took me too seriously for almost two years until I got smart and purchased my own domain name.
http://www.envirodocs.com was my first domain name. I now have several.
PROPER SOFTWARE:
You must have the software (autoresponder/sales manager) that will enable you to able automatically follow up on each and every client/customer 24hours a day 7 days a week. Other countries are in different time zones and you may not able to reach them at their convenience without getting up in the middle of the night to do it.
Personalization with your phone number with each email submission to customers/client is of importance. That is top priority - reach them at their convenience in the manner they wish - not yours! The software I use is excellent and distributes information without my doing a thing. Its called a SALES MANAGER the ultimate Internet tool. Today I serviced over 1500 people without doing anything.
TRAFFIC
Traffic is of essence in reaching people. Your site is in the great Internet Sahara Desert and cannot be found without some working at it, so traffic is of most importance when doing business online.
If people arent clicking onto your web pages you are not doing business. Here are some tips on drawing and or creating traffic to your website;
SEARCH ENGINES
A large portion of your traffic will probably come from search engines and in order to place high on the search engine your must have the proper formatted website. If you are going to be doing the submitting yourself you should make sure your keywords and meta tags are exactly what you will need to rank high on the engines. You should use a team effort in choosing your keywords and Meta tags, by getting someone's opinion that knows the definition of keyword and Meta tags.
I depended on someone else to do my Search Engine placement in the beginning and http://www.envirodocs.com was and continues to be somewhere in the neighborhood of #20, which is where you want your website to be. By letting someone else do the submitting I have time to work my business? Words of caution here, know who is submitting and what their record is for placement! Its good to do a search engine search with your top keywords and with the top URLs that come up. Check out their keywords and meta tags and compare them to their site scripts.
To check their keywords and meta tags; Have your curser on the page and do a mouse right click and choose View Source. You will be able to see the meta tags etc. in most web pages. A few people have made it impossible for you to view their work in View Source. But it is few and far between... That simple act can give you an idea how that site is tops. DO NOT COPY ANY TEXT OR PAGE. That is considered a copywrite infringement and punishable by a fine and/or prison.
Most web pages have a contact link and email them and if someone submits their website to search engines for them?
It is getting harder to be listed high in the search engine without paying for it and that is something to think hard about as it takes time for a new business to grow to sufficiently pay to list in each engine.
EZINE or NEWSLETTER.
Building your reputation with an EZINE or NEWSLETTER is the single most important thing you can do to get your name out there and let people know who you are and what you do. Then post your newsletter/ezine name to the different services letting people know you exist. Swapping ads with other newsletter/ezine is a great way of building your list and your name. In order to find those distributors simple do a search for ezines or newsletters and you will find them.
You can go through services such as egroup.com or topica.com to distribute your ezine, but their advertising is the first and last thing your potential customers see, so who do you think they will remember? Why advertise for someone else free when you can have your very own list server at a minimal cost and only your chosen advertising will be seen! With my List Server I distribute my messages, newsletter, sales announcements and anything else I want my list to know immediately, and all with a click of my mouse from my Eudora Pro or from a special URL. I can use it with any email browser.

A Simple Way to Create 7 Effective Autoresponder Messages

Email is the Net's most powerful marketing tool. And
autoresponders are the best idea yet for marketing with email.
There is an old saying that the first ad rarely sells. You have
to put your product, service, or idea in front of a prospect
several times before she buys.
Autoresponders are designed specifically to get your message back
to the same prospect over and over. That's why most
autoresponder packages come in groups of 7 messages--from the 7
message marketing rule that has been the rule in advertising
since our grandparents were in diapers.
But what do you say in your 7 messages? We've written
autoresponder series for hundreds of customers. Here is one
method that always works.
This method is called REMIND 'EM. People don't read your sales
letter as carefully as you think. They tend to skim. They read
the first message, but miss the second and third message. The
prospect may not tune in again until message five. It's so easy
for people to completely miss your main points that will lead to
a sale.
It's important to *repeat* your main message over and over. Say
it once, twice, three times in your first message. Say your main
message in a different way in the second message. Re-cap your
main point again in the third message. That way, people who
aren't paying attention still get your important ideas.
Here's an example of how the "remind 'em" formula works for a 7
letter series promoting personal security products.
(1) The world is a dangerous place. You need new innovative
security products to insure your protection.
(2) More details on how and why the world is a dangerous place.
List places or situations that are especially threatening.
(3) Recap how the world is a dangerous place. Give more details
on the key new security products that have come out.
Now start the middle section of messages. Note how they become
more instructional, telling people how to use the products.
(4) Protect yourself from the dangerous world with Product A.
Here's how to use Product A. Here's why you would use it. Here's
where to use it.
(5) Protect yourself with Product B. Here's how to use it.
Here's what happy customers say about it. Tell a hair raising
story of how Product B saved a customer's life.
Now comes the wrap-up and reminder, especially important for
people who never got around to reading your earlier messages.
(6) Go back to your main sales letter used in numbers 1 and 2.
Start all over reviewing your main points and highlighting your
most popular products.
(7) This is the final follow-up email. I usually have it come
two weeks to one month after message 6. It's designed to scoop
up all the people who weren't ready to buy in the beginning, but
may be ready to buy now.
It can start with "For the past few weeks I've been sending you
important information about how to protect yourself in
threatening situations. I know you are busy and may not have had
time to consider how these products could improve your life and
confidence." At that point, you again review your main points.
Repetition is the key to advertising success. Find creative ways
to keep the main message going week after week and you will have
as many customers as you can handle. Busy prospects simply need
time for your message to sink in. As we used to say when I
worked in media, it's just when you and your staff are sick to
death of a commercial that the audience is just beginning to
notice it.
