Since this is an election year I wish to make a comment here. Not on who to vote for but just make sure you vote. If you live in Florida you might want to make sure you are still registered since 2002 found 57,700 voters purged from the voter registration list. This purge was supposedly to stop convicted felons from voting, sadly 90.2% of those voters purged were not felons but actual voters who were forbidden votes when they went to the poles. SO PLEASE CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE LIST OF VOTERS ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN NOVEMBER!

Do what you must to succeed today. As long as it's honest, fulfilling, doesn't cause anyone else pain or discomfort and worthwhile!

Have You Defeated Yourself Before You Began?

My husband is one of those that will look at all the possibilities that could go wrong before he does something. Needless to say he never does much of anything as it takes too long to figure all the angles and then they are all bad in his eyes and most of the time he has missed the boat. He never looks at the positive before going on a trip or just driving to the store. His defeatism will always remains with him as he is totally unable to get beyond it no matter what!
 
His strongest opinions are those things that might go wrong! Defeated without knowing he's defeated!
 
I have watched him age over the years, as all that worry really ages you and never gives you a chance to feel young, experience life or enjoy it for that matter.
 
I don't think God meant for us to bury ourselves and look at the negatives before the positives. If he had he would never have created this world because he knew the old devil himself had been caste out of heaven and would be sent here along with a third of God's created angels, and that people would have to really be strong to overcome their cunning temptations. He gave us the rules to follow to make that an easier road but it seems that the old devil has managed to worm his way in and put negative attitudes and thoughts in the way of so many.
 
I have always traveled by myself. Yes, I know that bad things could happen but I'm a firm believer that if we look for bad it will happen, therefore I choose to look at the good that does happen as I travel places, meet people and see beauty everywhere, even in downtown L.A., a place you will never find my husband as bad things happen there! 
 
In have this shirt I wear that says, "It's better to have laugh wrinkles than worry warts." That is my philosophy! I am fully aware things can go wrong but I am also fully aware that when it happens I will get through it and stronger for it.
 
He on the other hand has lived through thousands of worries that have never come to pass! Sad to say that attitude is held by 57% in the world. Then there is the other 40% who floats along and lets everyone else take care of the problems when they arise and, ?floaters? as I call them, never mature and will go to their grave with someone else making their decisions and they will have missed the world's realities and greatness by wearing blinders. That totals 97% defeated before they begin!
 
It has been found in poll after poll and study after study that only 2% to 3% of the people have the guts to make decisions and go with them knowing that bad could happen but when it does knowing that they?ll make it through and come out stronger on the other side.
 
Other studies have shown that those worry warts are the ones to get sick and most have very serious diseases! End life with more regrets than happiness. I can say I will die with no regrets, as I follow my dreams wherever they take me in life and enjoy doing it! I refuse to be defeated! Yes, I know that positive people get sick and positive people die, so why not enjoy the trip as we are all going to exit this world! I choose to exit it as a positive person versus one who looks at all the bad that happens daily?
 
If you are looking at the bad things that happen or afraid to risk being your own boss or taking charge of your life, you have defeated yourself! Yes, you defeated yourself and all the alibi's (excuses) in the world can't change that. You are the only person who can create your defeat!
