Preparation is imperative to a business
that is going to make it online and
last!
In order to have a professional &
personal business here are beginning
steps to follow that will make it
possible to be taken serious?
Preparation for business means knowing
what you want in your business and
setting up goals and having them written
down in front of you to look at every
single morning and evening. Be specific!
Know how much money you want to generate
or how many products/services you want
to sell by a specific date! Giving
people the option of how they contact
you. That includes your business name,
address, phone number and email on every
page of your site. Appear professional!
You must have a site that will attract
attention. If your website reads
http://www.someoneelse.com/yourname
chances are you will not be taken
seriously.
I know, Been there, Done that, and
failed with it.
That type of URL is usually not thought
of as a professional website of a person
who is going to be in business next
month and/or is not confident enough in
your ability enough to have your very
own domain name.
I made the mistake of going with an
Internet Mall and paying out thousands
of dollars and not too many people took
me too seriously for almost two years
until I got smart and got my own domain
name

PROPER SOFTWARE:
You must have the software (autoresponder/sales
manager) that will enable you to able
automatically follow up on each and
every client/customer 24hours a day 7
days a week. Other countries are in
different time zones and you may not
able to reach them at their convenience
without getting up in the middle of the
night to do it.
Personalization with your phone number
with each email submission to
customers/client is of importance. That
is top priority - reach them at their
convenience in the manner they wish -
not yours!
TRAFFIC
Traffic is of essence in reaching
people. Your site is in the great
Internet Sahara Desert and cannot be
found so traffic is the most important
aspect of doing business online.
if they are not clicking onto your web
pages you are not doing business. Here
are some tips on drawing and or creating
traffic to your website;
SEARCH ENGINES
A large portion of your traffic will
probably come from the search engines
and in order to place high on the search
engine your must have the proper
formatted website. If you are going to
be doing the submitting yourself you
should make sure your keywords and meta
tags are exactly what you will need to
rank high on the engines.
Its good to do a
search engine search with your top
keywords and with the top URLs that come
up. Check out their keywords and meta
tags and compare them to their site
scripts. If their site places high then
they must know what they speak about, if
their site doesn't place in the top
twenty keep looking!
To check their keywords and meta tags;
Have your curser on the page and do a
mouse right click and choose View
Source. You will be able to see the meta
tags etc. in most web pages. A few
people have made it impossible for you
to view their work in View Source. But
it is few and far between... But that
simple act can give you an idea how that
site is tops. DO NOT COPY ANY PAGE. That
is considered a copywrite infringement
and punishable by a fine and/or prison.

To get your way in anything, whether
it's a tennis match or a business, you
have to know and understand the
players. If you are dealing with a
board or a group of people who represent
a great diversity of styles, you'll need
to analyze each one. Then prepare for
each, based on your assessment.
Make a realistic plan to deal with each
of them. It's a good idea to write down
every negative point you can think they
will come up with so that you answer
with tact and fact.
When meeting with people you want to
"sell" on some idea of yours, do a
little test-marketing. Practice your
pitch before you actually make it. This
will enable you to test the waters.
You'll feel stronger once you've
researched all the various aspects. How
have they reacted in other situations?
What is their reputation? Can you
expect a fair deal? Role play in front
of a video camera or a peer. Then
analyze what happened and how you might
improve the final "take."
Assertive managers know how to use free
information-any material, facts,
situations, or philosophies about a
person or company they have dealings
with. This information can come from
other people, corporate reports, or
personal experience. The more free
information we have, the more control we
develop. The key to coming out unscathed
is not to show hostility during the
dealings. Each person is entitled to
state what they think is best without
fear of reprisal.
Effective leaders should be able to
admit when they're wrong and/or if they
simply have a change of opinion. A
strong person doesn't mind admitting a
mistake. You learn from it. Even if
you're not convinced you're wrong, you
usually will buy into something because
the majority feels it's best and has
decided to fly with it. This is a
strong and valuable person.
