I'mwondering if our
early fall weather is any indication
that we are in for a cold hard winter?
If so, that also indicates that my
winter business will be very good. In
the past hard winter has equaled heavy
business, warm winter equaled less
business. That's the positive aspect.
Positive outlook in all areas of life is
necessary. Negative will find you in the
doldrums and your business in the
"drink"! My own experiences have taught
me those two areas in life!
That said, have you got your winter
business plan in the works? Are your
goals such that you can handle more
success? Have you
prepared your Holiday sales goals? It's
important to set up goals and how to get
there!
Do what you must to succeed today. As
long as it's honest, fulfilling, doesn't
cause anyone else pain or discomfort and
worthwhile!

Don was a friendly and successful banker
who, more than anything else, loved
fishing. He often spoke of his trips to
Mexico and his plans to retire and live
on the new boat he was building. That
was until he succumbed to cancer.
Although he could have retired earlier
to begin his extended fishing trip, Don
seemed to be waiting for something. It
may have been for that new boat to be
built, the hope of a higher bank stock
price, or some other reason. Whatever it
was, he didn't live that dream of a
leisure life of fishing.
I'm sure that he didn't expect to get
cancer, nor die so soon.
However, do any of us typically expect
those things? We say,
"There's always tomorrow, so if we put
things off, why does it matter?" The
truth is it could matter a lot. It's
common for us
to put off our proverbial fishing trips.
We tell ourselves, "I'll
start that business, change jobs or
careers, or fix what's broken in my life
or business SOMEDAY." However, someday
never comes, because we're expecting
something magical or miraculous to
happen while we wait. We're waiting for
that something to soothe the fear of
taking action, make the timing perfect
or guarantee success. In the meantime,
we flounder.
To avoid "someday" never arriving for
you, here are some suggestions:
1. Write down your goals. It helps to
see on paper what it is you really want.
2. Give yourself permission to try. A
shift is more likely when it's ok with
you.
3. Take some action. Even if it's just
an hour a week, action will energize
you.
4. Get support. Moving forward is
easier when you have help.
5. Celebrate the baby steps. Success is
about progress, not perfection.
What "fishing trip" are you putting off?
If you don't want to
miss it, you'll have to make a choice to
start somewhere and
sometime. Make that choice here and now!
By doing so, your life will be much more
rewarding, and you'll never have to say
it's "the one that got away."

You can never receive what you want
until you learn how to get it! You want
to know how to have those things? With a
bit of work you can have just about
anything you want, but you have to want
it badly enough to work for it!
Working for it requires feeding your
brain the correct information so it can
accept success and prepare for it!
Having gone out and set up and running
multiple medical offices and clinics for
20 plus years I became an observer of
mankind. Now at the ripe ole age of 67 I
have learned a few things along the way
about life and people, but mostly about
myself and I think I am pretty typical
and still learning?
I would like to pass along what I've
learned in the hopes you will benefit
from that information. Probably the
single most important lesson I've
learned, and that is how to analyze
yourself to assure your brain is working
at it's best capacity?
Financially successful people have most
definitely learned this lesson and use
it. Most people just roll through life
taking whatever comes their way without
ever knowing if they are possibly part
of the problem for not obtaining the
alluding success/happiness?
Something has not changed in the
success world. 98% fail and only 2%
succeed at their dream.
The reason that only 98% of the
population do not realize their success
dream is because they are unable to
determine how to dream real success.
Don't confuse a dream with a dreamer!
The dreamer continues chasing after
success and wasting money and time
trying to achieve it but never take time
to learn the lessons necessary to get
successful and realize their dream. That
seems quite futile to me!
Now is the time to ask the correct
questions that will get you to the place
you want to be!
That 98% follows one mode of thought, -
letting someone else make all the
decisions for them by playing on their
fears and insecurities. Are you
accepting it as correct or right for
you?
This is done very simple and subtle but
you buy into it because it does not
require much work on your part while you
are hoping to succeed... (The word hope
has set you up for failure as it is a
negative word that plants the idea that
you are not in control... Most people
would have you believe right the
opposite, that it is a positive word?
Wrong! Replace it with WILL,
CAN or SHALL.)
Usually blind faith only benefits the
person in charge of your life and/or
business.
FEAR lives as the worst enemy in life
and the BEST DISGUISED of all our
enemies but beatable with work and
persistence.
Identify your particular fear! Yes you
have fear! I found that Napoleon Hill
author of the book, "Think and Grow
Rich" and several other books, said it
best; "The majority of people if asked
what they fear most would reply, - I
fear nothing - Their reply would be
totally inaccurate, because few people
realize that they are bound,
handicapped, whipped spiritually and
physically through some form of fear."
So subtle yet deeply seated is the
emotion of fear that one may go through
life burdened with it, never recognizing
its presence?
Is FEAR is running your life? If you
continue to direct your path in areas
of unhappiness, loss or going with the
flow, yes!
It takes a courageous and thorough
analysis to disclose the presence of
this universal enemy. When you begin
such an analysis of yourself - and
you definitely must if you wish to
fulfill your dream - search deeply
into your character.
Look deep within yourself for the
following indications of fear present in
your mind!
INDIFFERENCE: Commonly expressed
through lack of ambition; willingness to
tolerate poverty or less than your
dreams, acceptance of whatever
compensation life may offer without
protest; mental and physical laziness;
lack of initiative, imagination,
enthusiasm and/or self control.
INDECISION: The habit of
permitting "whatever happens" to
determine your life. Staying "on the
fence." Thinking about something so long
that you miss the opportunity! Never
verbalizing your ideas to yourself or
anyone else for fear of recrimination!
DOUBT: Generally expressed
through "alibis" and "excuses" designed
to cover up, explain away, or apologize
for one's failures. Sometimes expressed
in the form of envy of those who are
successful, or by criticizing them or
saying "he/she was in the right place at
the right time."
WORRY: Most commonly expressed by
finding fault with others; a tendency to
spend beyond one's income; neglect of
personal appearance, scowling and
frowning; intemperance in the use of
alcoholic drink; the use of narcotics;
nervousness, lack of poise and
self-consciousness. Worry about every
single little detail of life. Make a
fool of yourself, it's highly necessary
for true happiness and success!
OVER-CAUSATION (overly cautious):
The habit of looking for the negative
side of every circumstance, thinking and
talking of the "what-if's" of failure
instead of concentrating upon the means
of succeeding. Knowing all the roads to
disaster, but never searching for the
plans to success. Waiting for the "right
time" to begin putting ideas and plans
into action, until the waiting becomes a
permanent habit. Talking about those who
have failed, and forgetting successful
ones. Seeing the hole in the doughnut
but overlooking the doughnut. Overly
cautious has another word, pessimism.
And it not only kills your chances at
success but causes health problems such
as poor indigestion, poor elimination,
autointoxication, bad breathe and bad
disposition and eventually a disease or
cancer.
PROCRASTINATION: The habit of
putting off until tomorrow that, which
should have been done yesterday, last
week or last year. Spending enough time
in creating alibis and excuses to have
done the job with time left over.
Here is where Procrastination/Over
Cautious will find you! a. Refusing to accept
responsibility when it can be avoided by
you. b. Willingness to compromise
rather than put up a stiff fight for
what you believe. c. Compromising with difficulties
instead of harnessing and using them as
stepping-stones to advancement. d. Bargaining with life for a
penny, instead of demanding prosperity,
opulence, riches, contentment and
happiness. e. Planning what to do if, and
when you are overtaken by failure,
instead of burning all bridges and
making retreat impossible. f. Weakness of and often total
lack of self-confidence, definiteness of
purpose, self-control, initiative,
enthusiasm, ambition, thrift or sound
reasoning ability. g. Expecting poverty instead of
demanding riches. h. Associations with those who
accept poverty instead of seeking
company of those who demand and receive
riches. i. Feeling unworthy of
associating with those of knowledge and
using their brain effectively.
Recognize these traits in yourself...
Ask the questions and feed your brain
the success words CAN, WILL
and SHALL along with great
inventive ideas you harbored for years!
Now go to work and change those things
that are getting in your way, by
whatever means necessary.
TAKE a RISK, BE or PICK a LEADER,
Do your homework in order to choose a
winning associate, company or friend
make sure they have a proven track
record where the path has already been
laid out for you. Find a mentor or
mentors - either in person or literature
- to be your guide and listen to
him/her! Or maybe you have an idea that
you need to check out and implement! Do
it. If it fails you will have learned
something that you can use in another
venture!
