car/bus/train/plane or dying of medical errors are about
100,000 times greater than dying from at the hands of a
terrorist... Sanity depends on not voting from fear...

Daddy's View From Home
My
wife, Mary, and I used to have
mini debates over who would get
to stay home when our first
child, Vincent, was born. The
obvious answer was whoever made
less mo*ney would get to stay
home. As it turned out, my wife
not only made more mo*ney but
also provided health insuranc*e
for the family so it was really
a no-brainer.
I quit
my full-time job as a computer
technician a few months before
Vincent was born. The idea was
that I would start a home bu*siness
to try to help out financially
once the baby arrived.
We
started an Ebay bus*iness and
actually did pretty well. I
quickly became a Power Seller –
a moniker reserved for high
sales volume and consistency.
There were two glaring problems,
however. I had to work the bus*iness
8+ hours every day except
Sunday, which I took off. We
knew that this would not work
once Mary went back to work. As
all of you moms already know,
its a full time job taking care
of a newborn (and the rest of
the house)! Besides, the fact
still remained that we both
wanted to be home with our
child.
Well here it is over a year
after I quit my job, Vin is just
over 8 months old, and Mary is
still working full time. On one
hand I feel extremely blessed
that I am able to stay home with
him, however, I know how
difficult it is for Mary to
leave every morning knowing that
she will see him just just a
couple hours at the end of the
day when she gets home. I call
her several times a day while
she is at work just to let her
know how absurdly cute he is
being or to share my stress
because he is inconsolable for
whatever reason. Of course it is
not the same – we both miss her.
Even though we are not in our
ideal family situation right
now, I have to say that I am
quite excited because we have
found a bus*iness that is the
answer. I am able to work this
bus*iness from
anywhere
on-line for just an hour or two
a day. As I continue with it, I
will be spending less than two
hours every week

worked full-time – to the point
where it is going to replace the

You have decided to zero in on product creation? You
have reached the point were you know your goals inside
out. You have even written your goals down.
They are tacked onto your refrigerator and taped over
your computer. You also have your goals written in your
pocket-size "ideas" booklet. It appears you are ready to
rumble! Let's get it on!
You finally decide that the theme for your website is
going to be "Men's Shoes Of The 50's." From here on in,
everything on the website should dovetail nicely into
the theme.
Don't bring in men's trousers. For now, during the early
going, stick with this specific shoe.
Put your shotgun away, at this point, you need your
rifle. People are savvy. They know what it is they want.
They're smart enough to know not to type in men's shoes.
They zero in on a specific shoe, mens shoes of the 50's.
It's coming early, but here is a priceless golden
nugget.
You now know the way people search online. Try to marry
your selling strategies to the way people search. When
you can accomplish that, you will be looking your target
customer dead in the eye.
Lets dig into this a bit more. People who go online to
buy a "men's shoe of the 50's" are interested in just
that, a men's shoe of the 50's. That's it!
The trousers that you thought they might buy when they
come to your 50's shoe website are what you want. Not
what they want.

woven throughout your website and is spot on. You have
done your website homework. Your articles and reports
are singularly focused with great content on the mens
shoe of the 50's.
The search engines have sent the spiders to comb your
website and they love it. Your google ads are specific
and focused.
Deep into the country, in a small unknown town, daddy's
birthday is approaching.
Mother is secretively asked, "what does daddy want for
his birthday?"
She shoots back with a smile, (the children have
remembered) "get him a pair of two-tone shoes from the
50's."
Perplexed, the children respond, "they don't sell those
shoes in town, where can we get them?"
Mother smiles again, "try the internet."
"Oh why didn't we think of that," replied the children.
They go to the computer, fire it up, and guess what they
type in? You're correct, mens shoes of the 50's. And
guess which website is staring them in the face?
This scenario is played out over and over and your
internet cash register is ringing steadily. Stay
focused, set up one singular site, but set it up well.
Then watch that one website turn over again and again.
Sort of like money in the bank.

Developing Awesome Squeeze Pages

A squeeze page or an opt-in page is one that you drive
traffic to, with the aim of getting visitor's name and email
address, optimally in exchange for something of value. Use
squeeze pages to build a strong, responsive list.
The first and most important thing about any squeeze page
you design to build your list with is testing. Even testing
two different headlines can make all the difference in the
world.
Start split-testing your squeeze pages and you can do that
easily with something like Marketing Makeover Generator, or
if you have 1ShoppingCart or AWeber, you can use their
split-testing tools. You can also use something like Ad
Trackz. It's very inexpensive and it's great software. It's
fairly easy to learn how to use if you're willing to put a
little bit of time into studying it.
The second thing is that you need to use a few bullet
points, like five or seven at the most, and make your bullet
points short statements, not paragraphs or sentences. Each
bullet point should point out one benefit of signing up for
your product, service, or giveaway.
The closer your bullets are together, the better you'll do
and the quicker people are going to be able to read them.
So, don't leave space between bullets. In other words, be
sure to single-space each line.
Third, design your page so viewers have to scroll down as
little as possible. Let it be "above the fold." Try to put
it all right there--in their faces! You don't want visitors
to have to move around looking for information. The easier
you make it for them to sign-up for your list, the more
likely it is that they will.
Some experts say that audio increases conversion, but audio
works for some and not others. Maybe it's because people
like a soothing voice and it works for them, whereas it
won't work for people with squeaky voices. But with audio,
there are all sorts of possibilities. If you have some type
of quote on your page, for example, you could turn that into
an auto play button, and do a split test it to see if audio
will increase or decrease your conversion.
Then, on your opt-in button-use something that will get
people to click, like ?Free Instant Access,- for instance.
Test it, too.
But remember, test only one element of a page at a time. If
you test all of them at the same time, you won't know what
worked and what didn't. Change your headline and test the
one you have now with the new one. Test the wording on your
opt-in button, test putting a picture on the page with
leaving the picture off the page. (If you're going to use a
picture, make sure it's crisp and very tight-looking.) Test
everything, but only test one thing at a time.
Even joining the Better Business Bureau may make a
difference. Your opt-in rates might improve if you have a
Better Business Bureau logo on your site, but never use
things like this unless you're actually a member.
The point is that there is no right way and no wrong way to
go about doing things. Some aspects of a squeeze page are
proven to work, such as formatting and size, but all other
factors are out there waiting to be tested. Find the best
possible squeeze page through trial and error, and when you
have something that works, keep testing, until you feel that
you're all tested out, that you've squeezed every ounce of
squeeze out of that page that you can. Then, let it work for
you.
