As a whiff of the blossoming fruit trees and natural blooming flora drift in my window! I look out on all the white, purple, yellow and red blooming carpet across our 2.5 acres and others around us, which is a bitter sweet beauty as I know it's only fooling us into thinking spring is really here. We get frost up to the middle of May so I know this is going to be short lived and means no fruit on the trees this year. Unless, of course we are having a really early, and going to be a very hot year...

By asking why something doesn't happen, or what something isn't achieving, we can often find answers to questions that we'd never even considered before.

Take Isaac Newton, for example. Everyone knows that he discovered gravity because an apple fell on his head. Well the actual story (from Newton's own description) was that the apple didn't actually fall on his head. What really happened was that he was watching the moon one fine evening when he saw an apple fall from a nearby tree. By using 'not' creative thinking he wondered why it was that the apple fell, but the moon did not. THAT was how he ended up with the theory of
gravity.

Mohammed Ali became the world's greatest boxer because when he was told that big men can't dance and aren't fast, asked himself 'why not?'

Dick Fosbury, a young American high-jumper in the 1960s was taught that the only way to jump over a bar was face down. He dared to ask why he should not try to do it face up.
