Cheating To Win?

"Cheaters never prosper, cheaters never win!"
 
Remember that ditty from childhood? We use to say that over and over to anyone who tried to cheat at our childhood games. Some people didn't get it then and they still don't get it in adulthood!
 
All the corporate cheating and prison sentences that are being publicized these days that were found out now know that to be true!
 
Daily I am amazed at the numbers of people who feel that they can cheat and win! A real misnomer. You cannot win cheating. The most respected people in the success world of billionaires did not get there cheating. A few made it temporarily, but were cut down in size and found out, to end in humiliation and shame! We have seen Enron, Worldcom, Arthur Anderson, and others that went down that path and lost!
 
Now the less successful man/woman may think the wealthy cheated to get where they are, but the thinking between the wealthy and the less successful is so different in that;
the least successful person uses that as an excuse in most respects and generally think the wealthy cheat and never work. (Could write another book on that subject)

While the wealthy think they are very honest and work hard, and the ones I know prove that thinking to be more accurate.
 
Not having reached that billionaire status yet, not because I cheat but because I started way late in my life. I do expect to join their ranks before I die. I can say that the wealthy that I know do not cheat and did not cheat to get where they are. Yes, they did work very hard before being able to glide a bit. Otherwise I would not befriend them.
 
The cheaters I encounter daily online are small potatoes but an indication that he/she will get nowhere in life if they continue their cheating path!

First; Cheating at advertising!
 
I received 25 to 75 new subscribers a day for "A Natural Environmental Health Facts & Your Home Business Coach" ezines. At least 5% are trying to cheat the system! I give one free ad 40-word per new subscriber. There are those who think that by subscribing with multiple requests they can get multiple ads. Sadly they don't know my list server will not accept duplicate subscriptions from the same email, so they haven't gained a thing but lost my respect. Or they subscribe with different emails but the tracking system tells me it's the same subscriber. Then there's the other few who unsubscribe as soon as their ads publish, and will turn around and resubscribe, just to get that free ad. No I don't catch all of them but after a couple of ads my eagle eye either recognizes the email, URL, the ad or all three and simply delete the request.
 
Secondly; Lying Spam!
 
I get these asinine SPAM emails that say they are linked to my site and would I please reciprocate? You bet I would if I could find my link on their site, but that isn't the case. They count on me believing them and simply linking. No, I check!
 
Third; Procrastination and omission!
 
People who put off until tomorrow what they can do today or who fail to tell the whole truth rarely if ever completes the task, getting nowhere. People who say they are going to start a business and want to pick my brain but put off beginning. Stealing my precious time and never follow through! You are taking time from someone else who may be serious, but I wasted time I could have given a more serious person on an undeserving person? If I tell you I am here to help, I am here to help but not to be taken advantage of! I was taught that to take someone's time unnecessarily is called stealing!
 
Fourth; If it feels good do it!
 
No! no! Emotions will get you on the wrong path every time. Learn the game of business at hand before going with feelings. Only when the brain has obtained the necessary information to make a right decision can you even begin to believe a little bit of your emotions. Hence failed businesses, health & marriages? Think before you hit send or join another loser, above all else don't become an associate of mine and waste my time!
 
Emotional attitudes; eat whatever and whenever I feel like it - have set up the obesity pattern putting so many on the path to illness and defeat! Emotional attitudes have led 90% or more to believe in fairy tales like, "Make $10,000 and do nothing." If you believe that, I've got this beautiful bridge to the city of dreams in the desert, I will sell you!
 
Wake up and stop cheating yourself! Get all the information for whatever endeavor you seek to under take. Get the information to put you on a healthy path so the brain will stop giving in to foolish emotional lies! Be honest up front, and there isn't a successful person in this world that would not help you.

"GOING TOO FAST TO HAVE A BLAST"

Are you always in a rush? Do you find yourself racing from task to task, wishing you had more time? Does your 'things to do' list, scribbled in a hurry, include items such as "defrost my spouse" and "make love to the refrigerator"?

If the answer to those questions is "yes," you might want to skip the rest of  this column. I mean, can you really afford the time? It might take you three whole minutes -- and imagine what else you could accomplish: calling an important client, reviewing a vital report, or taking your daily dose of relaxation pills. (Thank God for the Internet. You didn't have time to visit your usual doctor, so you consulted one in Calcutta.)

Truth be told, many of us are living fast-paced lives, trying to squeeze so much activity into every day that we barely have time to notice the roses, let alone smell them. The faster the better, we tell ourselves, as we dash through our packed schedules, even searching for ways to date faster. It's called speed-dating, lasting just a few minutes and often leading to speed-marriage, not to mention speed-divorce.

"I'm always doing things fast," bragged one American man. "I eat fast food, drive fast cars, and make fast money."

"He's even fast in bed," added his wife. "In just two minutes, he's fast asleep."

Unfortunately, there are just 24 hours in every day and the only way to find more time, I've discovered, is to put cheap batteries in your clocks. But the time constraints haven't stopped people from trying to achieve more. They just perform several tasks at once, a practice known as multi-tasking. It happens frequently on the highway: People drive their cars while speaking on cell phones, applying makeup, eating lunch, reading a magazine, and doing yoga. (If evolution continues as expected, humans will eventually turn into octopuses.)

Multi-tasking is nothing new, of course. It goes back to at least 1492, when Italian explorer Christopher Columbus tried to steer his ship while eating a large pepperoni pizza. Now you know why he couldn't find his way to India. (And for that, they named a city after him. It's called Bonehead, Colorado.)

Our fast-paced life may make us feel ultra-efficient, but it can be harmful to our work, health and relationships, according to Carl Honor´e the London-based author of "In Praise of Slowness," a book that explains the benefits of slowing down. Slower is often better, says Honor'e and he illustrates this by taking readers to Italy and other parts of the world where slowness is catching on, albeit slowly.

Imagine yourself enjoying a leisurely lunch, savoring an unhurried walk in the park, delighting in the snail-paced line at the post office. But before you can welcome such slowness into your life, you need to admit you have a problem. Here are just a few signs that your life is too hectic:

---You have nightmares about losing your appointment book, but none about losing your children.

---You bought a book called "Time Management," but haven't found the time to read it.

---You're attracted to the concept of speed-dating, as well as speed-reading and speed-breathing.

---You like anything with the word "express" in it, always taking the "express lane" at the grocery store, servicing your car at the "express lube," ordering goods by "express delivery," and paying for it all with American Express.  You love to say, "Express service please," which sometimes gets you kicked out of the bedroom.
